The Browers family has always been known for being a family playing music. In 2016, 4 family members got together and formed Breaking Ground. We played locally, and travel to California and back, ending up being invited to compete in DREAM NIGHT TALENT SEARCH, where we competed and won. Now under the new management of WENDEE, and under the direction of Dennis Gelbaum, the band is headed into a new chapter in our career officially being known as The Browers Band
The Browers Band is an interesting blend of country and rock covers mixed with new original music, all carefully selected and designed to produce a performance that any crowd is sure to love.
Nick took the stage with his little guitar at the age of 3. Nick is the Nephew of Preston and Connie, and grew up watching his Dad Jimmy, Grandpa Jim and the rest of the family play country and rockabilly music. Nick has formed and played in various bands, playing lead guitar and vocals for the past 20 years. Nick has played along greats as Alex Grossy, Chad McDonald, Dizzy Reed and had the opportunity to open for The Band Perry. When not performing, Nick enjoys hunting, fishing, fast cars and camping with the family.
Preston started playing bass guitar at the age of 13 with his Dad Jim Browers and Brother Jimmy, in the band Country Roadrunners for 15 years until his Dad retired. After his Father's retirement, Preston played with his Uncle Tom Harper and family in the band Dirt Road Xpress. After the sudden passing of his Dad and Brother only 2 years apart, Preston lost his love of music until asked to play in a bluegrass band. Together with his wife Connie, they enjoyed getting to play many of the prominent festivals and the Kentucky Opry. Preston has had the opportunity to play behind and share the stage with, Billy Yates, Cedar Hill and Rhonda Vincent. When not performing, Preston enjoys hunting, fishing, riding his ATV, and like Nick, camping with the family!
Connie started singing at the age of 5 fo family and friends. As a child she would spend hours on her moms bed with records from greats as Dolly Pardon, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn and Reba McEntire. After she met her husband Preston, she joined the family band, singing lead and harmony vocals. Connie, along with Preston had had the opportunity to play with many bluegrass and country artists. When not performing, Connie enjoys making jewelry, a good book, and of course...camping with the family!
Hunter was raised with a drum stick in his hand. As a child he would sit in front of the TV and drum along to his mom's favorite bands. His father Marty, was also a talented drummer and he recognized Hunter's potential. Hunter worked tirelessly on the kit. Now at the age of 18, he has become a phenomenal drummer. Hunter, along with Nick, had the opportunity to open for The Band Perry. Hunter's musical influences include Motley Crue, Avenge Sevenfold and Five Finger Death Punch. When not performing, Hunter enjoys fishing, playing pool and...camping with the family!
